Master's program

The master's program aims to study and teach more specialized and higher-level academic theories and their application based on education in faculties related to economics, and train researchers and professionals or working adults with high-level expert knowledge as individuals who will contribute to the creative development of culture and the welfare of mankind. As "research guidance courses," the master's program provides: Theoretical Economics; History of Economics; Economic History; Economic Policy; International Economy; International Relations; Finance; Public Finance; Statistics; Social Security; Labor Economy; Interpreting in Theory; Economic Geography; Environmental Economics; and Consumer Policy and Laws. In addition, a variety of "lecture and practice courses" are available as related courses to study the above fields more widely. The master's program is characterized by its kind, careful, and thorough research guidance and formation of a wide curriculum. Most of all, Interpreting in Theory–a set of professional and high-level courses established based on economics–makes the Graduate School of Economics very distinctive.

Doctor's program

The doctor's program further develops the education and research conducted in the master's program and aims to train researchers and high-level expert professionals or working adults as individuals who have rich scholarly knowledge and high-level research capabilities and will contribute to the creative development of culture and the welfare of mankind. As "research guidance courses," the doctor's program provides: Theoretical Economics; History of Economics; Economic History; Economic Policy; International Economy; International Relations; Finance; Public Finance; Statistics; Social Security; Labor Economy; Economic Geography; and Environmental Economics. In addition, many "related lecture courses" for deepening research in the above fields are available. The doctor's program is characterized by its high-level and appropriate research guidance for creating a doctor's thesis. This program has produced many doctors of philosophy in economics (doctor's degree with thesis) including international students awarded a doctor's degree, and many have become university teachers.
