Events / Annual Study Tour for International Students 【Toyama(富山)】

the body

On Nov.2-4, the International Center held the Annual Study Tour for international students.
The destination of this year was Toyama. Toyama prefecture is located in Hokuriku region, the central part of Japanese archipelago. It has both mountain and ocean views and is famous for its fresh seafood of Toyama bay.

The most impressive place of this tour might be “the Kurobe Gorge”. Through the train windows, our eyes were fastened on the mountains in colors of red and yellow. How beautiful they were! We were refreshed by clear sky, clean air and colorful view.

On the following day, we visited the world heritage site, “Gokayama”. It rained on that day, but the haze hanging over the mountains made fantastic atmosphere.

The hotels had wonderful Onsen-bathes; one had mountain view, another had ocean view. Dinners were in traditional Japanese style and full of fresh seafood.

We also enjoyed making original kaleidoscope, touring to “red snow crab auction”, and visiting National Treasure Zuiryu-ji temple.

Students could see and experience Japanese culture outside of the classroom and made new memories of life in Japan.
