Prof. Hirotsugu Kataoka (Dept of International Cultures) was conferred an honour by the government of Pakistan for his translation of the Urdu literature and his work for the promotion of the Urdu language. A reception was held to celebrate Prof. Kataoka’s award on April 27th, 2010 at Higashimatsuyama Campus. He was also conferred an honour by the Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari at the president’s office in Islamabad on March 23rd, 2010, the National Foundation Day of Pakistan.
