the body

The exchange students and their Japanese tutors had annual study tour arranged by the International Center on Feb. 3-4, 2014.

Their destination, Yamanashi prefecture, is placed on just west of Tokyo, and it is well-known as having Mt. Fuji.

On 1st day, the weather was so fine, and they were fascinated by the majestic shape of Mt. Fuji. They strolled through the Japanese old style village at Oshino-Hakkai, ate charcoal-grilled fish and vegetables for lunch, watched beautiful dyed Kimonos at Itchiku Kubota Art Museum.
At the hotel they took the Onsen bath which had Mt. Fuji viewing and they enjoyed Japanese style Enkai party for the dinner.

On 2nd day, the weather was completely changed; snowstorm! But Fuji-Q Highland ( the amusement park famous of its extreme roller coasters) was the place which they were looking forward to most of all. Inspite of heavy snowfall and coldness, the students (and a staff of the International Center) spent precious time.

  • Touching the spring water of Mt.Fuji; “It’s so cold!”
  • Time slip to old Japan!?
  • Japanese-style BBQ; Robata-yaki.
  • “How grand the Mt.Fuji is!!”
  • All students got new memory of Japan.
