Hello teachers, I`m sorry for not sendind you regular emails. We`ve finished almost half of the program. The students are really enjoying their lives in Prince George. At first, many of them were very nervous and had little comunication with the CHSS students. But they got to comunicate with each other since the middle of this week. They came to talk each other much more than last week. They had some classes with lots of fun. For example, they went to the supermarket in order to experience the shopping using English. They bought bread, sausages, some kinds of seasoning, and pops. After buying those things, we went to lake and made hot dogs themselves. They really enjoyed making and having them. And after that, we enjoyed canoeing at the lake. Yesterday, we went to Bakerville as the last group did. We enjoyed seeing many historical building there. But I`m not sure how many student really understood the history of Canada. Anyway, they enjoyed talking with CHSS students. That was really good. We took a picture with wearing old-fashioned dress or cowboy style clothing. It was lots of fun. We have about 10 days left. I hope the students will enjoy their life here, and make a better relationship with their host families. I`ll send you emails again.

Hello teachers, We`ve finished all the classes at CHSS. Monday, we had a tour of a pulp mill after finishing the class. Pulp is a major industry in Prince George. There are three big mills in PG, and we went to one of them and went around it. It was a huge mill. It was a great experience, but some of the students felt bad because the smell was really bad. Wednesday, we went to the University of Northern British Columbia, which is the biggest university in PG. We enjoyed the university tour. Ms Haga, a daughter of Mr Haga, helped us a lot. We met a Japanese student who studies there, and some of the students asked him many questins. I guess they`d like to come back here after graduating Daito Ichiko. We had a very interesting tour. Thursday, we made tiles for decorating on the wall of the school. We painted the tiles and baked them. We`ll decorate one of them on the school wall, and bring the other one to Japan. It`ll be a good memory for the students. Friday was a very funny day. We experienced some Canadian holidays, such as Christmas, Haloween, Easter, and so on. CHSS made the classroom very exciting, and they explained them with dressing funny costumes or in an interesting way. Daito students were really enjoying them. At the end of them, we exchanged Christmas gifts. We had a really funny day. Tomorrow, we`re going to Jasper. We`ll stay 2 days there, and come back to Prince George on next Monday. We have only 4 more days. Many students said that they wouldn`t want to go back to Japan, and really wanted to spend much more time with their host families. They seem to have a great time here. Anyway, we`re flying to Japan on Aug 1st, and coming back to Japan on 2nd. I hope students`ll enjoy the rest of their lives in Canada.
