Introduction to the Research Programs

Offering comprehensive studies with instruction in both theory and empirical proof, the graduate school aims to train human resources with highly qualified analytical and planning skills to handle changes in today’s economic society, such as advanced progress, growing complexities, globalization, and computerization. In addition, to promote independent research among graduate students, various opportunities to present the results of research are available, such as the conducting of graduate student research presentations and international seminars, and the editing and publishing of the research publication Keiken Ronshu (economic research journal).
Furthermore, Interpreting in Theory and Interpreting in Practice are the subjects of its master’s program and are a unique part of this graduate school. Although based on the science of economics, the program, which includes specialized lectures and training using a simultaneous-interpreting facility, has been highly evaluated for its practical applicability.
