イギリスという島国で誕生した英語が国際語となるまでの変化や発展の過程を英語国民の歴史を背景に研究しています。英語史の授業やゼミでは、英語の歴史を知ることで英語への理解が深まり英語学習が楽しくなるということを伝えたいと思います。
