第15回となる今回は、アメリカの学生からのメッセージをお届けします。

The United States has a huge mix of people from all over the world, each with different backgrounds and ways of thinking, with it not being uncommon to hear a mix of languages while out in public. Our food reflects this as well, as a typical week, sometimes even within the same day, often includes foods from Mexico, China, Italy, and many other countries. The US is most well-known for its huge cities

such as New York and San Francisco, however the rural places also have beautiful scenery, with tons of national parks to hike through and enjoy the many types of wildlife the US has to offer.

St. Cloud is quite small compared to others, but in exchange it is easier to get to know people and become close friends as you are

more likely to come into contact with them. There are also a lot of events each week, giving students more opportunities to leave their

rooms and try out new things or just hang out with new groups of people, creating memorable experiences for everyone.

I’ve had an interest in learning Japanese ever since I was 10 years old, when I first started watching anime. Overtime I have fallen even more in love with how the language sounds and the writing system, which made me want to learn it and visit Japan all the more. I hope that through studying abroad I could improve my Japanese and make some lifelong friends.

Daito Bunka offers a great learning environment for students of all backgrounds, with a beautiful campus and plenty of places to relax in-between classes. Daito Bunka is also perfect for international students to learn more about Japanese culture and manners as there are lots of opportunities to meet Japanese students and have discussions.

Keep on studying hard and work towards accomplishing your goals no matter how impossible they may seem, but also don’t forget to take breaks every once in a while! Your mental health should always take priority.

Take every opportunity you can to get out and explore! Enjoy your limited time in Japan, but also take care of yourself. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes either, mistakes are how we learn!

Japan is the first time I have ever left my country, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I feel like I learned so much more about the world than I would have if I never decided to come, and it made me develop an even greater appreciation for everything in my life and everyone on the planet.
